Elevated estrogen can cause health and performance problems in both men and women. For men, it’s not only the elevation in estrogen, but it’s because that elevation also comes at the expense of testosterone via aromatase conversion. For women, there can be all sorts of hormone-related issues which range from endometriosis to various cancers to Uniquely Distinct Behavioral Changes That Are In No Way The Fault of the Female In Question which some people call PMS.
One of the ways estrogen becomes abnormally elevated is through aromatase activity. But let’s keep going “upstream,” biochemically speaking. One of the most potent stimulators of aromatase activity is PGE2. PGE2 is an inflammatory prostaglandin created through the COX-2 pathway and conversion of arachidonic acid. Controlling COX-2 and levels of arachidonic acid can reduce PGE2 which can reduce aromatase and therefore can actually support a decrease in estrogen and an increase in testosterone.
What does this mean to you? It’s just another reason to add more hops, rosemary, curcumin, ginger, boswellia, and fish oil to your nutritional regimen.
JArachidonic acid + JCOX2 = JPGE2 = Jaromatase = ESTROGEN GOES UP AND TESTOSTERONE GOES DOWN.
KArachidonic acid + KCOX2 = KPGE2 = Karomatase = ESTROGEN GOES DOWN AND TESTOSTERONE GOES UP
